C1 MC Driver

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safe and lawful transport of explosive materials in accordance with dangerous goods and transport legislation
• Maintain strict Chain of Responsibility (CoR) compliance, including fatigue management, speed, and load security
• Manage the security of consignments through strict access control and vehicle monitoring
• Comply with all mine site procedures, exclusion zones, and site access requirements
• Protect people, infrastructure, and the environment through disciplined driving and proactive risk management
• Maintain accurate documentation and communication for regulatory and audit purposes

Requirements

• Unrestricted Heavy Vehicle driver’s licence (HR, HC, or MC)
• Demonstrated experience operating heavy vehicles
• Proven understanding of Chain of Responsibility (CoR) obligations
• Ability to maintain high levels of security awareness and situational awareness
• Current Dangerous Goods / Explosives Driver accreditation (or the ability to obtain one)

Preferred Qualifications

• 3 years of road train experience
• Current and valid Class 1 Explosive Driver qualification
• Previous experience working on remote or regional mine sites
• Experience transporting explosives to magazines or blast sites
