C++ Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and implement high-performance C++ systems for collaborative autonomy behaviors
• Develop software allowing multiple autonomous agents to coordinate across different operational domains
• Collaborate with autonomy engineers, product managers, and customers to deliver solutions
• Utilize agentic coding tools and AI assistants to accelerate development
• Profile, debug, and optimize code for real-time performance in resource-constrained environments
• Create scripts and tools to improve development velocity and testing efficiency

Requirements

• 2+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Strong C++ programming skills (C++20 or later)
• Experience with Python and shell scripting
• Proficiency with agentic coding tools (Cursor, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, etc.)
• Strong understanding of software design patterns, data structures, and algorithms
• Experience with Git and collaborative development workflows
• U.S. Citizenship required
• Ability to hold or be eligible for a U.S. Secret security clearance
• Willingness to travel 10-20% for integration and demonstrations

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with autonomous systems, robotics, or real-time control systems
• Familiarity with distributed systems and multi-agent coordination
• Knowledge of network programming and inter-process communication (IPC)
• Experience with build systems like CMake or Bazel
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines
• Knowledge of data serialization (Protocol Buffers, FlatBuffers, Cap'n Proto)
• Experience with Docker or Kubernetes
