C++ Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and implement high-performance backend systems in C++ for Axion and Acuity defense autonomy products
• Tackle autonomy challenges across multi-domain environments including unmanned ground and aerial platforms
• Build scalable, reliable infrastructure for autonomous systems in contested and degraded conditions
• Partner with autonomy researchers, product teams, and defense customers to translate requirements into software solutions
• Own end-to-end execution of engineering workstreams from architecture through deployment
• Interface with DOD programs to ensure solutions meet operational demands

Requirements

• Professional software engineering experience with strong C++ skills
• Deep backend engineering fundamentals including systems programming, concurrency, and performance optimization
• Proficiency in Python for tooling and scripting
• Strong CS, CE, or EE foundation
• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• Must hold or be eligible for a U.S. Secret security clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• Genuine interest in autonomy, robotics, or physical AI
• Exposure to or curiosity about multi-domain defense systems
• Experience with distributed systems
