C++ Algorithms Engineer

Responsibilities

• Implement, integrate, and optimise complex mathematical and signal processing models into production software
• Apply model-driven development using both autogenerated and hand-written code
• Ensure high code quality through clean coding principles and static analysis
• Collaborate on model simulation, validation, and verification using MATLAB/Simulink
• Maintain comprehensive software documentation and reporting
• Support unit and wider software testing to ensure reliability
• Contribute to the improvement of software architectures and toolchains

Requirements

• Strong proficiency in C++ development
• Experience with software architectures and system software design
• Expertise in mathematics, signal processing, and model implementation
• Familiarity with Linux targets and development infrastructure
• Knowledge of software development processes, SCM, Jira, and unit testing
• Understanding of container deployment, networking, and GPU integration
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline
• Eligibility for UK Security Clearance (SC)

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with Linux scripting and Windows targets
• Exposure to software QA, safety compliance, and assurance practices
• Knowledge of Defence sector processes and tooling
• Awareness of CI/CD, containerisation, and virtualisation
