Buyer/Planner II

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned materials and inventory through MRP/SOP/GOM to meet department goals and objectives.
• Efficiently manage inventory through A/B/C categories, proper replenishment strategies, and daily exception activity.
• Convert purchase requests into purchase orders for multiple locations.
• Execute routine buying processes, including selecting approved suppliers based on price and availability.
• Order parts, arrange for delivery, and follow up to confirm or modify delivery schedules.
• Arrange for the prompt return of damaged or faulty supplies.
• Foster mutually respectful and beneficial relationships with suppliers.
• Maintain purchasing databases to ensure high levels of data integrity.
• Collaborate daily with Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Accounts Payable, Operations, and Supplier Management.

Requirements

• Knowledge of and/or intermediate level experience in Planning and/or Procurement.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to perform primary tasks with little or no supervision.
• Ability to pass a security investigation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• Intermediate level proficiency with relevant ERP tools.
• Knowledge of Direct Procurement processes.
• Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite.
• Familiarity with IGT's business processes.
