Buyer/Planner

Responsibilities

• Purchase raw food ingredients, packaging, and plant supplies to support facility requirements
• Manage vendor relationships, including researching new vendors, negotiating terms, and resolving discrepancies
• Analyze demand and proactively manage inventory levels to ensure cost-effective and timely delivery of goods
• Own day-to-day purchasing and planning for raw materials and plant supplies
• Schedule pickups, place purchase orders, and monitor deliveries
• Collaborate with corporate departments on short-term and long-term product demand planning

Requirements

• Experience purchasing raw food ingredients
• Proven ability in vendor relationship management
• Proficiency in inventory level analysis
• Experience with purchase order management and demand planning

Preferred Qualifications

• MBA in Business Administration or Supply Chain Management
• 1-2 years of experience purchasing raw ingredients (specifically meat and poultry)
• 1-3 years of experience in planning, inventory management, or scheduling within a manufacturing setting
