Responsibilities

• Manage overall procurement activities for assigned faculties and administrative units
• Provide guidance and education to staff on procurement policies, workflow channels, and business practices
• Identify potential suppliers, gather competitive quotes, and recommend vendors
• Resolve procurement issues and disputes between end-users and suppliers
• Manage small to medium procurement projects, including risk assessment and reporting
• Monitor and expedite open purchase orders to ensure timely delivery and payment
• Maintain accurate records of solicitations, contracts, and correspondence for financial audit control
• Collaborate with Supply Management partners to ensure alignment with university standards

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of related procurement or purchasing experience
• Commitment to enhancing awareness and skills related to equity, diversity, and inclusion
• Ability to respect diverse perspectives and work effectively within a complex institutional environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Two-year diploma in Purchasing Management
• University degree in a relevant discipline
• Working towards a Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP) designation or equivalent
