Buyer

Responsibilities

• Acquire direct and indirect materials including steel and corrugated packaging
• Source, negotiate, and qualify potential suppliers for quality and cost-effectiveness
• Utilize MRP data to determine purchase order quantities and delivery schedules
• Request and evaluate quotations and negotiate pricing and terms
• Convert MRO requisitions into purchase orders
• Review receiving documentation and reconcile discrepancies
• Monitor safety stock levels and inventory health
• Collaborate with sales, production planning, and inventory teams
• Maintain vendor master data and supplier relationships
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business administration, or related field
• 4+ years of experience in purchasing or procurement
• Experience in a manufacturing environment
• Strong negotiation and communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP/MRP systems
• Strong organizational and attention to detail skills
