Responsibilities

• Provide procurement support for electronic components, bespoke electro-mechanical components, and consumables for spacecraft systems and sub-systems
• Interpret MRP results, place, and administer purchase orders for demand or allocate from free stock to project requirements
• Negotiate price and delivery to meet demand via MRP results and/or purchase requisitions
• Actively engage and manage suppliers and contractors, including selection, auditing, and performance evaluation
• Ensure goods and services are delivered in accordance with order instructions and company regulations
• Liaise with internal stakeholders and attend core team meetings to report progress and status

Requirements

• Previous purchasing industry experience is essential
• Strong negotiation skills and ability to communicate at all levels
• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
• Proficient in MS Office
• Solid understanding of Terms and Conditions and supply chain management
• Ability to work effectively in a pressurised environment and meet strict deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

• CIPS member or associate status
• Experience within the aerospace industry
• Experience in a high-value, low-volume manufacturing environment
• Good understanding of MRP/ERP systems
