Buyer

Responsibilities

• Source, negotiate, and purchase raw materials, components, and production supplies
• Monitor and maintain appropriate inventory levels to prevent production disruptions
• Issue purchase orders accurately and in a timely manner
• Coordinate with planning, production, and warehouse teams to forecast material requirements
• Collaborate with procurement personnel at sister company locations to leverage group purchasing
• Facilitate and manage inventory transfers between locations
• Track open purchase orders and follow up with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery
• Evaluate supplier performance regarding quality, delivery, and cost
• Maintain accurate purchasing records and vendor files within the ERP system
• Identify cost reduction opportunities through negotiation and alternative sourcing
• Support physical inventory counts and reconciliation activities

Requirements

• Ability to work onsite at the manufacturing location
• Proficiency with ERP or purchasing management systems
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field preferred
• Minimum 2 years of purchasing, procurement, or supply chain experience in a manufacturing environment preferred

Benefits

• Annual base salary range: $78,000.00 - $95,000.00
• Bonus target range: 10%
