Buyer, Sub-system

Responsibilities

• Manage commodity and supplier strategies to fulfill global supplier requirements and development roadmaps in the Shanghai region
• Execute the full RFQ management process, from release and business award to contract signing and project execution
• Scout new suppliers and conduct regional market investigations to expand the supplier panel
• Perform strong cost analysis (TCO) during the tender phase and drive continuous improvement plans (QCD)
• Coordinate with quality and project teams to secure overall sourcing plans
• Facilitate technical clarifications between suppliers and technical experts during RFQ and PO execution stages
• Collaborate with European site buyers on LCC projects, mass production, and payment follow-ups

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree (Engineering degree preferred)
• 5+ years of direct sourcing experience in sourcing development
• Fluency in both English and Mandarin
• Strong negotiation, project management, and supplier management skills
• Ability to handle multiple deadlines in a fast-paced, changing environment
• Willingness to travel frequently

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in sourcing development for metal materials
• Proficiency in French
