Buyer Raw Materials

Responsibilities

• Manage the planning, procurement, and inventory of raw materials to meet production and business objectives
• Maintain accurate demand and supply requirements within the MRP system at the SKU level
• Generate weekly operating plans for raw materials and communicate category status to internal stakeholders
• Execute procurement decisions, including generating purchasing plans and issuing purchase orders to suppliers
• Set and monitor inventory targets, safety stock levels, and replenishment strategies
• Track and report on KPIs related to material availability, supplier performance, and forecast accuracy
• Identify material availability risks and implement mitigation plans to prevent supply constraints
• Drive continuous improvement in material planning and procurement processes

Requirements

• College diploma or bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field
• 3–5 years of experience in procurement, materials planning, or supply chain management
• Proficiency with MRP systems (experience with ERP platforms is an asset)
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and v-lookups
• Strong understanding of supply chain and inventory management principles
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in apparel, textile, or related manufacturing environments
