Buyer - Purchasing

Responsibilities

• Manage purchase order execution and order tracking through MRP systems
• Purchase industrial goods including castings, machine parts, electronics, and MROs
• Handle non-conforming material management and resolve invoice or pricing discrepancies
• Establish accurate SAP planning parameters and material replenishment strategies
• Communicate internal status updates and coordinate with planners regarding production shortages
• Manage daily supplier communications and enable supplier participation via web tools
• Maintain accountability for departmental metrics including on-time delivery and inventory management

Requirements

• 5 years of purchasing, planning, or supply chain experience within industrial manufacturing
• Proficiency with SAP (required)
• Experience with MRP systems and Microsoft Office applications
• BS Degree or equivalent professional work experience
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and solve problems creatively in a fast-paced environment
