Buyer, Procurement

Responsibilities

• Manage procurement activities and processes through approved vendors to maintain high quality and low costs.
• Process purchase orders, including initiation, follow-up, receiving, closure, and filing.
• Utilize ERP (SAP) and Excel to track inventory levels and ensure material availability.
• Manage vendor and supplier relations, including pricing, cost negotiations, and service agreements.
• Plan material inventory levels and update specifications through QMS, Change Control, and CAPA systems.
• Resolve invoice issues and material shortages or discrepancies with accounts payable.
• Lead investigations for non-conforming raw materials and manage the vendor assessment program.
• Support material procurement for new product launches and participate in regulatory audits.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience.
• 4-6 years of experience in a pharmaceutical or biotech manufacturing environment preferred.
• Proficiency in SAP and MS Excel.
• Strong negotiation and interpersonal communication skills.
• Knowledge of cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practices) environments.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage a diversified workload.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience using TrackWise or EDMS.
• Proven ability to work effectively in a team-based, regulated manufacturing environment.
