Buyer

Responsibilities

• Investigate, evaluate, and approve suppliers to ensure raw materials meet company requirements
• Negotiate pricing and delivery terms with suppliers to generate cost reductions
• Prepare and place purchase orders for manufacturing and monitor open orders
• Maintain accurate source and information records for part inventory
• Collaborate with manufacturing and engineering departments to support production needs
• Contribute to Total Quality Management (TQM) and adhere to FDA and ISO standards

Requirements

• Experience purchasing materials within an inventory or manufacturing environment
• Ability to read blueprints and engineering drawings

Preferred Qualifications

• Three or more years of experience purchasing materials for a production environment
• Bachelor's Degree
• Experience working with international suppliers
• Proficiency using an ERP system
