About the Company

Patriot Erectors is a full-service, AISC-Certified Steel Fabricator and AISC-Certified Advanced Steel Erector. Since 1991, we’ve fabricated and erected structural steel for complex buildings and non-building structures with a focus on quality, safety, and pride.

Responsibilities

• Secure and analyze supplier quotes and research recommended suppliers based on cost, quality, and delivery
• Generate purchase orders for raw steel materials, fasteners, and pre-fabricated products
• Negotiate prices and terms to protect project margins
• Track steel market prices and trends to inform purchasing decisions
• Coordinate with Fabrication, Field Operations, and Project Management to maintain schedules
• Set and maintain inventory parameters for assigned products
• Resolve quality and delivery issues promptly
• Implement purchasing strategies under the direction of the Director of Procurement

Requirements

• 5+ years in a steel manufacturing environment
• 2+ years of purchasing and material-control experience in steel manufacturing
• Proficiency with MS Office
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and organizational skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree
• Tekla EPM experience
• Ability to read and interpret drawings
• Continuous-improvement mindset
