About the role

Responsibilities

  • Conduct procurement of goods, materials, equipment, supplies, and services for the University
  • Research potential suppliers, solicit proposals, and evaluate market pricing to ensure best value
  • Process and place purchase orders using the ERP system
  • Reconcile and maintain documentation to ensure compliance with University policies, including purchasing and capital expenditure policies
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders and Accounts Payable to resolve invoicing and receiving issues
  • Provide training to University stakeholders on purchasing policies and system utilization

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • 2-4 years of professional purchasing experience
  • Experience placing purchase orders using an ERP system
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, OneDrive)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
  • Experience using Infor Lawson ERP
