About the Company

OrganOx is a commercial stage organ technology company dedicated to developing technologies to improve outcomes for patients with acute or chronic organ failure. A spin-out from the University of Oxford and part of the Terumo Group, OrganOx is a pioneer in normothermic machine perfusion (NMP).

Responsibilities

• Assist R&D and Engineering teams in sourcing new items with existing or potential suppliers
• Conduct market research for new suppliers for Indirect Procurement
• Manage the order lifecycle including requesting quotes and placing purchase orders via ERP
• Monitor the open order book to ensure timely delivery and expedite orders when necessary
• Lead or support supplier negotiations to ensure optimal cost
• Manage stakeholder expectations and coordinate between departments to achieve compliance
• Identify and action opportunities for cost reduction and continuous improvement
• Assist the Quality Function in developing purchasing processes that comply with quality management systems

Requirements

• Demonstrable industry experience in a buyer or purchasing role
• Proven experience in indirect procurement, preferably in medical technology or a highly regulated industry
• Experience using an ERP system and a good understanding of MRP
• Formal qualification in Purchasing or Supply Chain Management (e.g., CIPS Level 4)
• High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills
• Ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Working towards CIPS Level 4 qualification
