Buyer II

Responsibilities

• Support end-to-end sourcing activities for assigned commodities/categories
• Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and support RFQ/RFP execution
• Assist with source selection, negotiations, and contracting strategies
• Maintain sourcing documentation and purchase orders in ERP systems
• Track supply and demand signals to support schedule alignment and on-time delivery
• Partner with quality, engineering, manufacturing, and finance to support supplier performance
• Identify cost and lead time opportunities through basic cost analysis

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or equivalent experience
• 2–4+ years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain
• Experience supporting supplier selection, RFQ/RFP cycles, and negotiations
• Ability to travel up to 20% of the time
• Willingness to work evenings or weekends for critical mission milestones

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite
• Ability to analyze quotes and build cost/price comparisons
• Familiarity with Bills of Materials (BOMs)
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-intensity environment
