Buyer I

Responsibilities

• Manage procurement execution for assigned goods, commodities, and services in accordance with quality, delivery, and pricing guidelines.
• Make tactical buying decisions regarding purchase order placement, rescheduling, cancellations, and resolution of non-conforming materials or invoice queries.
• Minimize inventory levels while ensuring adequate material availability to meet production plans.
• Manage procurement automation processes, including troubleshooting and ensuring data integrity within automation systems.
• Coach and mentor less experienced members of the buying team to ensure team effectiveness.

Requirements

• 4 or more years of related procurement or purchasing experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced knowledge of Excel and proficiency in Google Workspace or MS Office.
• Ability to work independently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Bachelor’s Degree is preferred, though an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
