Buyer

Responsibilities

• Source, negotiate, and purchase raw materials, components, and production supplies to meet manufacturing schedules.
• Monitor and maintain appropriate inventory levels to prevent production disruptions.
• Issue accurate purchase orders in alignment with approved vendors, pricing, and budget parameters.
• Coordinate with planning, production, and warehouse teams to forecast material requirements.
• Collaborate with procurement personnel at sister company locations to leverage group purchasing opportunities.
• Facilitate and manage inventory transfers between locations with proper documentation.
• Track open purchase orders and follow up with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery.
• Evaluate supplier performance regarding quality, delivery, and cost.
• Maintain accurate purchasing records and vendor files within the ERP system.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of purchasing, procurement, or supply chain experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with ERP or purchasing management systems.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities.
• Ability to work onsite at the assigned manufacturing location.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field.
