About the role

Responsibilities

  • Plan, negotiate, and purchase components to support manufacturing
  • Manage supplier relationships and maximize supplier performance
  • Identify and lead initiatives to reduce cost and increase service
  • Assess risk and proactively resolve potential supply continuity issues
  • Work with Engineering, Quality, Production, Sales, and Warehouse to optimize supply chain
  • Plan and place purchase orders with appropriate lead times
  • Expedite orders and resolve inventory or invoicing discrepancies
  • Identify, evaluate, and integrate new suppliers and technologies

Requirements

  • BA/BS or equivalent work experience
  • 3+ years of experience in a purchasing or supply chain role
  • Experience with Supplier Managed Inventory Contracts
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to analyze and make decisions based on large amounts of data
  • Strong problem-solving, organization, and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of lean principles
  • Proficiency in Syteline MRP system
