Buyer

Responsibilities

• Coordinate activities involved with procuring goods and services
• Work with vendors to obtain price, availability, and delivery schedules
• Verify parts, quantities, price, and lead time on order confirmations
• Maintain status on orders and make approved adjustments
• Review and process requisitions in a timely and accurate manner
• Follow up on back orders and escalate critical shortages to management
• Manage suppliers to maintain a free flow of information and material
• Work closely with planners to clarify expectations and create purchase orders
• Collaborate with Finance to resolve billing and payment issues

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in an Expeditor position or similar
• SAP knowledge required
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access)
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to read and write in English

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree
