Buyer Direct

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the procurement of direct materials, components, and equipment to support production needs.
• Manage supplier relationships and communicate regarding pricing, lead times, and availability.
• Place orders for raw materials and components based on production requirements and MRP demand.
• Review and adjust purchase orders according to production changes, shortage lists, and open PO lists.
• Track shipments, expedite orders when required, and coordinate with freight forwarders and warehouses.
• Monitor inventory levels weekly to prevent overstock and reduce obsolescence.
• Handle supplier claims, debit/credit issues, and approve invoices for payment.
• Analyze material flow through production and conduct supplier performance reviews.
• Maintain accurate procurement data, including costs, deliveries, and inventory records.

Requirements

• Completed university degree.
• 5+ years of professional procurement experience.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.
• Advanced English language proficiency.
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills with the ability to interpret technical information.
• Excellent report writing and communication skills for stakeholder presentation.
• Proven problem-solving skills in structured, multi-variable environments.
