Buyer Direct

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the procurement of direct materials, components, and equipment
• Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and manage vendor expectations regarding price, delivery, and quality
• Place orders for raw materials and purchased parts based on production requirements and MRP output
• Manage inventory control operations, including cycle counts and resolving inventory discrepancies with warehouse personnel
• Track shipments, expedite orders when necessary, and manage material actions
• Monitor and modify purchase orders according to production plan changes using shortage and open order lists
• Handle claims, settle payment issues, and review invoices for approval
• Maintain data integrity by filing and recording all necessary procurement documentation

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
• 4+ years of experience as a Procurement Buyer
• Proven experience within the Automotive industry
• Experience working in a 24/7 manufacturing environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple variables
• Experience effectively presenting information and communicating with various groups
