Buyer Direct

Responsibilities

• Review requisitions and MRP output to coordinate the procurement of direct materials, components, and equipment
• Confer with vendors to obtain product or service information regarding price, availability, and delivery
• Manage purchase orders, including ordering, rescheduling, and cancellations based on production needs
• Maintain accurate procurement records, including costs, delivery schedules, and inventory levels
• Manage supplier performance regarding price, delivery, and quality expectations, escalating issues when necessary
• Expedite the delivery of goods and monitor the movement of materials through the production cycle
• Interface with suppliers and customers to secure optimal market pricing and delivery timelines
• Resolve Accounts Payable (AP) issues and receiving discrepancies
• Monitor and deliver on internal KPIs and procurement metrics

Requirements

• Previous experience working with purchase orders and materials management
• Proven knowledge of VMI (Vendor Managed Inventory) systems
• BA/BS degree in a relevant field
• Advanced proficiency in English
• Advanced Excel skills
• Experience working with ERP systems
• Strong foundational knowledge of supply chain, purchasing, and materials management
