About the role

Responsibilities

  • Manage complex purchasing activities and optimize supply chain performance to drive cost efficiency.
  • Act as a strategic partner to Planners, Product Managers, and Industry Market Managers to influence sourcing decisions.
  • Foster strong relationships with suppliers and monitor performance, cost structures, and delivery schedules.
  • Develop and implement strategies for managing inbound logistics and reducing transportation costs.
  • Proactively identify supply chain risks and propose mitigation plans to maintain continuity of supply.
  • Resolve complex issues regarding invoice discrepancies, delivery delays, and quality concerns through root cause analysis.
  • Monitor and interpret key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess supplier reliability.
  • Collaborate with leadership on long-term procurement initiatives such as vendor consolidation and cost optimization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficiency in data collection, analysis, and presentation.
  • Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Proven problem-solving skills and the ability to mitigate issues collaboratively.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize duties and switch between tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • General business or technical degree.
  • One to two years of related procurement or supply chain experience.
