Buyer

Responsibilities

• Execute operative procurement processes including inquiries, quote comparisons, and order processing
• Ensure timely material availability through proactive deadline monitoring
• Manage supplier relations, including selection, evaluation, and development
• Handle order confirmations, goods receipts, and invoice verification
• Process complaints and resolve discrepancies with suppliers
• Collaborate with production, customer service, and quality assurance departments
• Maintain and update material and supplier master data in SAP
• Support inventory monitoring and optimization of order quantities
• Assist in price negotiations and the creation of framework agreements

Requirements

• Completed commercial or technical training, ideally with further qualification in procurement
• Several years of experience in operative procurement, preferably in an industrial or mechanical engineering environment
• Technical understanding and the ability to read technical drawings
• Knowledge of commercial and contract law
• Proficiency in SAP and MS Office
• Fluent German and good English skills (written and spoken)
• Structured, independent, and reliable working style
