Butcher Associate

Responsibilities

• Cut, trim, and prepare various meat products according to customer specifications and quality standards
• Display meat products in an organized and appealing manner to attract customers
• Monitor and rotate stock to ensure maximum freshness and quality
• Operate machinery such as slicers, grinders, and band saws safely and efficiently
• Perform quality control by inspecting products for freshness and proper labeling
• Provide excellent customer service by assisting with product selection and cooking recommendations
• Wrap, weigh, label, and price meat products accurately
• Maintain strict cleanliness and hygiene in the butchery area following all food safety protocols
• Manage meat inventory levels and inspect incoming deliveries for temperature and storage compliance

Requirements

• 1-2 years of experience in butchery within a supermarket or hypermarket setting
• Ability to work in cold temperature environments
• Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
• High school diploma or a relevant technical qualification
• Good communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members
