Business Unit Risk and Control Specialist, Assistant Vice President

Responsibilities

• Support First Line of Defense (FLoD) efforts to identify risk and establish an effective control framework within the Capital Management unit.
• Facilitate CCAR and internal quarterly stress testing execution in compliance with regulatory expectations and internal controls.
• Assist in the development, coordination, and review of the Annual Capital Plan.
• Support the development and management of the FLoD program, including performing periodic Risk and Controls Self-Assessments (RCSA).
• Maintain an inventory of regulatory obligations and perform periodic regulation gap assessments.
• Assist with inquiries and requests from Internal Audit, Business Risk Management (BRM), and regulators.
• Collaborate with the Data Governance Group to ensure compliance with data governance standards (BCBS 239).
• Assist in the development and maintenance of policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure compliance with laws and internal standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or MBA in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
• 4-6 years of experience in financial services.
• Proven experience in compliance, assurance, audit, or risk management.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Strong analytical, interpretative, and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficient knowledge of regulatory capital requirements.
• Experience with program or project management within a financial services environment.
