Business Unit Director - Rare Disease

Responsibilities

• Drive sustainable business growth, market leadership, and strong financial performance across the Rare Disease portfolio.
• Develop and execute strategic plans aligned with local, regional, and global priorities.
• Lead successful product launches and cross-functional execution to accelerate patient access to innovative medicines.
• Build and mentor high-performing teams, fostering an inclusive culture and developing future leadership pipelines.
• Serve as a key member of the Korea Country Leadership Team, advising on strategic priorities and investments.
• Shape the future of the business by leading transformational initiatives and identifying new growth opportunities.
• Build strong cross-functional and external partnerships to maximize patient impact.

Requirements

• Significant pharmaceutical leadership experience with a proven commercial track record.
• Demonstrated success in launching innovative medicines and leading high-performing teams.
• Experience in shaping healthcare policy and driving advocacy strategies.
• Strong strategic, analytical, and business acumen.
• Proven ability to lead organizational transformation and change.
• Ability to influence and collaborate across complex matrix organizations.
• Deep understanding of healthcare systems and market access.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluency in English; Korean proficiency is preferred.
