Business Systems Architect – Finance (D365 FO)

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of innovative financial solutions within the Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 FO) platform.
• Conduct fit/gap analyses to identify customization needs and develop detailed design specifications.
• Partner with finance stakeholders to assess, refine, and automate key processes in General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Cash Management, and Fixed Assets.
• Oversee the full lifecycle of finance-related projects, from requirement gathering to deployment and post-implementation support.
• Identify opportunities to embed AI, machine learning, and intelligent automation within Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power Platform.
• Collaborate with internal audit and finance teams to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data and reporting.
• Act as a trusted advisor to finance leadership, providing insights into system capabilities and emerging ERP trends.

Requirements

• Extensive hands-on experience with Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 FO).
• Deep understanding of accounting principles, financial processes, and related D365 modules.
• Proven experience designing and implementing complex business solutions and integrations.
• Experience with advanced reporting, including building reports in Financial Reporter.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to manage complex timelines and stakeholders.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to streamline operational workflows.

Preferred Qualifications

• D365 certifications in Finance or other relevant modules.
• Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, or Scaled Agile methodologies.
• Experience with Azure DevOps, Jira, or SharePoint.
• Knowledge of Microsoft’s broader technology stack, including Power Platform, Azure services, Microsoft Fabric, and Copilot.
• Experience implementing AI-enabled business solutions or intelligent workflow automation.
