Business Systems Analyst I

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document requirements for business applications
• Assist in requirements gathering workshops, interviews, and process mapping sessions
• Support the evaluation of existing applications and recommend improvements to optimize business processes
• Develop use cases, user stories, process flows, and data models under guidance
• Work closely with Developers and QA to transition requirements into functional and technical documents
• Participate in application validation and assist with user acceptance testing (UAT)
• Perform database queries using SQL for analysis, reporting, and QA activities
• Provide user support and assist in investigating and resolving issues with business applications

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field
• Basic understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies
• Proficiency in SQL database querying for data analysis and reporting
• Experience or coursework in requirements documentation and process mapping
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills
• Ability to work onsite in Gresham, OR, and flex hours to meet with offshore teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Internship or project experience as a Business Analyst or in a Business Process Automation (BPA) role
• Experience with scenario development, test case construction, or flowcharting
• Knowledge of reporting tools such as Power BI or Tableau
• Experience in domains such as manufacturing, finance, supply chain, or procurement
• Project management experience
