Business Systems Analyst

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable Workday enhancements, specifically focusing on the Benefits and Absence modules.
• Drive end-to-end process improvements by optimizing workflows and functional setups through automation and AI capabilities.
• Lead the review, impact analysis, and testing of Workday’s semi-annual releases.
• Manage Workday-related projects from discovery to deployment, including new builds and functional optimizations.
• Provide day-to-day system administration and resolve bugs or defects according to support SLAs.
• Serve as an escalation point for complex issues impacting business users or downstream systems like ADP and Greenhouse.
• Establish governance standards to ensure configuration integrity, data accuracy, and compliance.
• Develop training materials and conduct workshops to champion system adoption among super users.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5-7 years of HRIS experience.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience developing and deploying Workday functionality.
• Deep functional knowledge of Workday Benefits and Absence modules.
• Working experience with Core HCM, Business Processes, Security, Compensation, and Talent modules.
• Familiarity with Workday integrations and working knowledge of AI technologies.
• Strong analytical thinking and the ability to translate technical configurations for non-technical audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

• Current or previous Workday HCM Certification or Workday Pro accreditation.
• Experience supporting enterprise-scale Workday implementations or optimizations.
• Familiarity with emerging tools such as Prism Analytics, Adaptive Planning, Illuminate, or Workday Extend.
• Understanding of SOX, GDPR, or other regulatory compliance impacts on HCM systems.
