Business System Analyst

Responsibilities

• Lead the analysis, documentation, and validation of business requirements for payments technology and modernization programs
• Translate complex business needs into clear functional requirements and user stories
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, technology teams, and external partners to deliver end-to-end solutions
• Facilitate workshops and working sessions with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements
• Contribute to the design and optimization of payment processes, ensuring compliance with industry standards
• Perform gap analysis, root cause assessments, and release readiness reviews for system enhancements
• Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for payments-related projects and operational improvements
• Support scrum masters and project managers in planning, scoping, and impact analysis within an Agile environment

Requirements

• Strong expertise in business process mapping, requirements gathering, and system analysis
• Deep payments domain knowledge, specifically with MT format, MX (ISO20022), and CBPR+
• Proficiency in using Jira, Confluence, and MS Office
• Experience working within Agile project methodologies
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detail
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders
• Ability to work in a hybrid model, coming to the office 3 times a week

Preferred Qualifications

• FED Payments domain knowledge
• Experience working within the Banking or Financial services industry
