Business System Analyst

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with users and project teams to define requirements and expectations
• Analyze business requirements to design optimal data solutions meeting functional and non-functional needs
• Analyze existing systems to identify original source data based on business requirements
• Partner with Application Development teams to implement data strategies and build data flows
• Guide System Analysts, Engineers, and Programmers on project limitations, capabilities, and performance requirements
• Discover metadata of source databases, including value patterns, distributions, and functional dependencies
• Design logical and physical data models and create design documents including FRDs
• Prepare test cases, test data, and capture necessary test evidence

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a closely related field
• 6-10 years of relevant experience in system development or a Business System Analyst role
• Strong data and system analytics skills using various coding languages
• Proficiency in Oracle, MS-SQL Server, MongoDB, and Linux
• Experience with the Hadoop ecosystem (Hive, HBase, Spark, etc.)
• Advanced proficiency in Japanese
• Intermediate proficiency in English

Preferred Qualifications

• Understanding of REST API, micro-services, ETL, and Salesforce
• Hands-on experience with Cloud services
• Understanding of streaming data processing and change data capture (CDC)
