Business SOX Program Lead

Responsibilities

• Design the end-to-end SOX compliance program with an emphasis on business process controls
• Implement and operate the SOX compliance program, driving accountability across Finance and Accounting
• Lead risk assessments and financial reporting scoping across global operations
• Provide control design advisory to business teams including Order-to-Cash and Procure-to-Pay
• Evaluate and document key business process controls, manual controls, and management review controls
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Accounting, FP&A, Legal, and Revenue Operations
• Manage co-sourced partners and external advisors for walkthroughs and control testing
• Drive timely remediation of control deficiencies and documentation of root cause

Requirements

• 10–12+ years in SOX or internal audit
• Experience in Big 4 or in-house at public/newly public tech companies
• Proven ability to build audit or controls programs from scratch
• Strong understanding of COSO, PCAOB, and ITGCs
• Experience navigating complex data environments and interfacing with engineering teams
• Executive presence with ability to influence senior leaders

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with adtech, machine learning, or data-intensive platforms
• IT or Systems related qualifications
