About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead the analysis, documentation, and validation of business requirements for international payment lifecycles.
- Translate complex business needs into clear functional requirements and user stories.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, technology teams, and external fintech partners to deliver end-to-end solutions.
- Facilitate workshops and working sessions with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements.
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for payment-related projects, operational improvements, and SWIFT connectivity.
- Perform gap analysis, root cause assessments, and release readiness reviews for payment system enhancements.
- Support Agile processes by assisting scrum masters and project managers with planning, scoping, and impact analysis.
- Monitor post-implementation performance and assist in incident resolution.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience working within banks, fintechs, or other financial institutions.
- Hands-on experience with ISO 20022 standards and SWIFT payment flows (MT and MX formats).
- Proficiency in SQL and experience working with databases.
- Experience building dashboards or reports using Power BI.
- Technical knowledge of APIs (REST/SOAP) and XML message structures.
- Experience working within Agile project methodologies using Jira and Confluence.
- Professional English proficiency (B2 level or higher, written and spoken).
- Strong background in business process mapping and system analysis.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous participation in large-scale payment transformation projects.
- Educational background in Business Administration, Finance, or Engineering.
- Deep understanding of Fedwire and general payment processing/reconciliation lifecycles.
