Responsibilities

  • Optimize employment opportunities and vocational rehabilitation services through employer outreach and transitional employment development.
  • Conduct employer outreach to identify potential employment for vocational rehabilitation customers, including marketing on-the-job training.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with employers to ensure satisfaction with services and repeat business.
  • Match customers to available jobs and prepare them for interviews by assessing company culture and specific needs.
  • Conduct work readiness sessions, including resume preparation, job application assistance, and interviewing skills development.
  • Coordinate with external job developers and organizations to ensure customers have access to a broad array of opportunities.
  • Incorporate necessary accommodations into employer communications to maximize customer employment success.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in social services, psychology, vocational rehabilitation, occupational rehabilitation, or a related field.
  • Four years of direct customer service experience in a clinical or social service environment (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • Proven experience in employment placement programs.
  • Experience working with publicly-funded programs (TANF experience is a plus).
  • Knowledge of laws and regulatory requirements related to program responsibilities.
  • Ability to assess the need for and implement reasonable accommodations for customers.
  • Proficiency in using various electronic systems to manage duties and responsibilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a fast-paced, performance-driven team environment.
  • Training or experience in motivational interviewing techniques.
  • Exceptional engagement skills for both customer and employer service.
