Blacksmith builds infrastructure to run CI workloads faster and cheaper by operating a global fleet of bare-metal machines. They orchestrate tens of millions of Firecracker VMs monthly for over 3,000 companies and have reached ~$10M in ARR in less than 2 years. Backed by $13.5M in funding led by Google Ventures (GV), the team is expanding their CI infrastructure into a broader platform for agent sandboxes and background coding agents.

Responsibilities

• Own and run core operational processes including bill payments, employee onboarding, and vendor management
• Act as a force multiplier for founders by anticipating needs and unblocking bottlenecks
• Manage calendars, documentation, follow-ups, and organizational processes
• Automate repetitive tasks and proactively use AI tools to solve problems
• Drive leverage across the company by managing messy or undefined operational problems

Requirements

• Prior experience in startups, consulting, or operations in fast-paced environments
• Ability to thrive in ambiguity and solve undefined problems
• High attention to detail regarding processes and documentation
• Strong resourcefulness and ability to learn new tools quickly
• Ability to work in person 5 days a week in San Francisco
