Responsibilities

• Own cross-functional projects end to end, from scoping through execution
• Build internal AI tooling to make existing business processes more efficient
• Develop dashboards, KPIs, and reporting to provide visibility into company performance
• Dig into data unprompted to surface priorities and opportunities for the founders
• Stand up new functions, workflows, and systems from scratch
• Support partnerships by tracking pipelines and managing logistics
• Build operating systems for lead handoff and sales workflows
• Maintain financial operations including books, payroll, and vendor bills
• Manage people operations including benefits, HR, onboarding, and IT setup
• Manage SOC 2 compliance and audit readiness

Requirements

• 3–8 years in consulting, investment banking, or operations at a high-growth tech company
• Proven experience using AI tools to automate real work
• Ability to operate autonomously and deliver without close supervision
• Quantitative skills including advanced spreadsheet modeling and SQL
• Proficiency with tools like Mercury, Rippling, Attio, Customer.io, and Posthog
• Obsessive follow-through and attention to detail
• Strong written communication skills for internal and external correspondence
• High tolerance for ambiguity and context-switching
• Must be located in or moving to San Francisco for onsite work

Preferred Qualifications

• Ex-consulting (McKinsey, Bain, BCG) or Investment Banking background
• Technical degree in CS, engineering, math, or physics
• Experience as a Chief of Staff or BizOps lead at a scaling startup
• Previous experience owning books, payroll, or SOC 2 processes
• Passion for building teams and company culture
