Responsibilities
- Review incoming titles for accuracy, lien releases, and state compliance
- Process title transfers, registrations, and ownership documentation across multiple states
- Audit completed deal jackets to verify all required documents are complete and accurate
- Maintain accurate digital records within the dealership management system (DMS)
- Coordinate lien releases and loan payoffs with financial institutions
- Verify ownership and lien status for trade-in vehicles and customer purchases
- Partner with Finance, Sales, Purchasing, and Operations to ensure timely processing
Requirements
- 1–2 years of automotive title and registration experience
- Working knowledge of California title and registration requirements
- Experience with dealership management systems (CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, or similar)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Multi-state title and registration experience
- Experience processing trade-ins, private-party purchases, auctions, or fleet transactions
- Knowledge of floorplan funding and auction title workflows
