Business Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day manufacturing operations for an assigned crew, ensuring safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets are met.
• Train, coach, and support team members and Team Leaders on new job elements, product changes, and GMS principles.
• Partner with Team Leaders to line balance work and ensure standard work is followed and updated.
• Lead or participate in problem-solving activities, continuous improvement workshops, 5S activities, and GMS workshops.
• Monitor safety, quality, throughput, and absenteeism, implementing countermeasures as needed.
• Support launch build events and new program changes by representing the "voice of the floor."
• Maintain shop-floor documentation, including certification boards, build books, and training charts.

Requirements

• 5 years of leadership experience in a manufacturing or operations environment.
• Working knowledge of GMS concepts, including standardization, continuous improvement, and waste reduction.
• Strong communication, facilitation, and presentation skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Microsoft Teams.
• Ability to work flexible schedules and across shifts to support operational needs.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree.
• Experience engaging with unions or the UAW.
