Business Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead daily manufacturing operations for an assigned crew, ensuring shift readiness and proper job station setup.
• Train, coach, and support team members and Team Leaders on GMS principles, including problem solving and standardization.
• Partner with Team Leaders to manage line balancing and ensure standard work is followed and updated.
• Lead or participate in continuous improvement activities, such as 5S, PFMEAs, and waste reduction workshops.
• Monitor safety, quality, throughput, and absenteeism, implementing countermeasures to resolve issues.
• Support launch build events and new program changes by representing the "voice of the floor."
• Maintain shop-floor documentation, including training charts, build books, and certification boards.

Requirements

• 5 years of leadership experience in a manufacturing or operations environment.
• Working knowledge of GMS concepts (standardization, continuous improvement, and problem solving).
• Strong communication, facilitation, and presentation skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams).
• Ability to work flexible schedules and across shifts to support operational and training needs.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree.
• Experience engaging with unions or the UAW.
