Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements including MSAs, SOWs, NDAs, and vendor agreements
• Partner with sales and business development teams to facilitate deal closures
• Maintain and evolve contract templates, negotiation playbooks, and approval workflows
• Manage employment documentation including offer letters, ICAs, and separation agreements
• Advise on HR-related legal matters and maintain the Employee Handbook
• Manage GDPR, CCPA, and other privacy compliance programs
• Advise on AI governance, terms of use, and implementation risk
• Support due diligence and legal review for strategic transactions and M&A

Requirements

• JD from an accredited law school and admitted to practice in at least one US jurisdiction
• 2–5 years of relevant legal experience, ideally in-house at a creative, marketing, or advertising services firm
• Experience building legal infrastructure such as templates and workflows
• Working knowledge of GDPR, CCPA, and data privacy compliance
• Proficiency with AI tools like Claude or Perplexity to build self-service workflows
• Ability to operate independently as a team of one

Preferred Qualifications

• NY bar admission
• Background at a creative agency or professional services firm
• Familiarity with immigration processes
• Exposure to AI governance and emerging technology terms
