Business Law Unit Attorney

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and interpret contracts for the purchase of goods and services
• Draft non-disclosure agreements, photo/video releases, and corrective action plans
• Provide legal counsel to ACS divisions on business, contract, and procurement law
• Provide guidance on financial services issues, debt collection, and budget matters
• Interpret commercial leases and provide support for facility-related projects
• Serve as a liaison to the NYC Law Department regarding commercial law and real estate litigation
• Conduct legal research and formulate legal briefs and memorandums
• Investigate and prepare reports relating to illegal but equitable claims

Requirements

• Admission to the New York State Bar
• One year of satisfactory United States legal experience subsequent to admission
• OR six months of satisfactory service as an Agency Attorney Interne

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in areas of law related to procurement, business, or real estate
• Experience with municipal outsourcing or indemnity obligations
