Business Intelligence Engineer - Power BI

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deliver interactive Business Intelligence reports and visuals primarily using Power BI
• Translate complex business requirements into technical designs, metrics, and clearly documented models
• Implement advanced data modeling techniques including star schema, fact vs dimension separation, and handling many-to-many relationships
• Utilize advanced DAX for complex calculations, including evaluation context, context transition, and iterators
• Maintain Power BI deployment pipelines to manage dashboards across Dev, QA, and Production environments
• Configure security and governance protocols, such as Row Level Security (RLS)
• Optimize Power BI performance and troubleshoot slow-rendering visuals or measures

Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of related experience in business intelligence or data engineering
• 3+ years of experience with Microsoft Power Platform, specifically Power BI
• Hands-on proficiency with DAX and Power Query (M)
• Strong fundamentals in data modeling (star schema, relationships)
• Proficiency in writing SQL statements and explaining SQL logic
• Experience working with Snowflake

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Sigma Computing, AWS QuickSight, or other relevant BI tools
• Knowledge of security markets, post-trade processing, or clearing and settlement infrastructure
• Relevant Microsoft Certifications (PL-300, PL-400, or PL-900)
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills
