Business Intelligence Analyst

Responsibilities

• Lead and facilitate Epic reporting content requirements gathering sessions with stakeholders
• Provide professional internal and client-facing documentation including SRS and BRD
• Build or modify Epic reports, templates, dashboards, and scorecards
• Create data for report testing and ensure thorough validation of all dashboards
• Review peer reports for validity, accuracy, and completeness
• Evaluate consumer satisfaction with developed Epic reports
• Test analytics build in specified environments and conduct volume testing in live environments
• Assess impact of application updates or upgrades on existing reporting content
• Maintain the Epic Analytics Catalog and associated metadata records
• Design, implement, and maintain an enterprise-wide reporting security policy
• Assist with the development of training curriculum for Reporting Power Users
• Resolve Epic reporting content and user access issues

Requirements

• Undergraduate Degree in Health Informatics, Computer Science, Epidemiology, Industrial Engineering, Business Analytics, or equivalent
• 3-5 years of experience in analyzing, designing, testing, and deploying BI and Data Analytics tools
• Experience configuring, testing, and validating reports and dashboards
• Proficiency with analytics tools and expertise in business analysis
• Sound understanding of reporting terminology and relational database concepts
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to translate end-user workflow-based requests into specific data points

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with Epic applications and database structure
• Knowledge of clinical and business workflows in a Canadian healthcare setting
• Certification in Epic Cogito
• Experience with SQL
• Experience using cubes
