About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead and facilitate Epic reporting content requirements gathering sessions with stakeholders and clinical analysts
- Build and modify Epic reports, templates, dashboards, and scorecards to meet end-user needs
- Provide professional documentation including System Requirement Specifications (SRS) and Business Requirements Documentation (BRD)
- Create data for report testing and ensure all application dashboards are thoroughly validated
- Review peer reports for accuracy, validity, and completeness
- Evaluate consumer satisfaction with developed Epic reports and distribute content accordingly
- Maintain the Epic Analytics Catalog and associated metadata records
- Design, implement, and maintain enterprise-wide reporting security policies
- Act as a primary support contact for Epic reporting needs and resolve user access issues
Requirements
- Undergraduate Degree in Health Informatics, Computer Science, Epidemiology, Industrial Engineering, Business Analytics, or equivalent
- 3-5 years of experience in analyzing, designing, testing, and deploying BI and Data Analytics tools
- Proficiency with analytics tools and strong expertise in business analysis and requirements gathering
- Sound understanding of reporting terminology and relational database concepts
- Strong communication, organizational, and critical thinking skills
- Ability to translate end-user workflow-based requests into specific technical data points
Preferred Qualifications
- Epic Cogito certification
- Familiarity with Epic applications and database structures
- Knowledge of clinical/business workflows and financial reporting in a Canadian healthcare setting
- Experience with SQL and using data cubes
