Business Intelligence Analyst

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with technology teams to define performance metrics and identify improvement opportunities
• Develop data views, reports, and lightweight web-based analytics tools
• Conduct in-depth data analysis using SQL and Databricks to uncover trends and insights
• Build business cases for process improvements and AI-enabled ways of working
• Monitor KPIs and provide updates on operational and engineering productivity metrics
• Support the implementation of AI assistants, Cursor rules, and Git-based workflows
• Contribute to the company-wide Product Management operating system (bees-ai-pm-os)
• Partner on AI-assisted development of micro-frontends using Next.js tools

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in an analytical role (software development, operations, or product analytics)
• Solid knowledge of SQL for querying large datasets
• Ability to create clear data visualizations and narratives
• Habitual, daily usage of AI assistants for professional or personal tasks
• Proficiency with Git (branching, pull requests, code review)
• Experience documenting work in Markdown or Confluence
• Fluent English (written and spoken)
• Depth in tech (data/ML/engineering), business (product/storytelling), or agile (Kanban/Scrum/Lean)

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Cursor or AI-native IDEs
• Experience with Databricks or similar data engineering platforms
• Knowledge of Python or R for automation
• Experience building internal web apps with React, Next.js, or TypeScript
• Knowledge of process improvement methodologies like Lean or Kanban
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)
• Practical exposure to generative AI, prompt design, and MCP integrations
• Experience tracking engineering metrics like cycle time and throughput
